Default OEM Oil Filter Drainback Issues

Has anyone noticed lately that Honda OEM oil filters have been having issues with their drainback valves? Have found the last three filters dry after only a few hours of sitting.

The new Honda OEM filters are made by Filtech (Fram) and have a Fram-style plastic drainback valve.

I'm not surprised.

All the ones i've grabbed lately say honeywell, might be different over here in Canada though, The JDM honda filters are made by yet another company whose name escapes me.

honda has 2 oil filters A01 and A02. the A02 filters is the common one that is made by Honeywell aka FRAM and has a "H" on the top of the filter. the A01 filter is the most popular one which is made by Filtec and doesnt have an "H" on top
