JDM ITR rear brake pads - wrong size?
I recently purchased a set of 36mm JDM ITR 5 lug conversion. I purchased new rear rotors from the local parts store and a set of brake pads for a 2001 ITR at the local acura dealership. The rotors were a direct fit, however, when installing the brake pads, I noticed that the rear pads that were on the car were a different size than the ones I got from the dealership.
The top and bottom portion of the new brake pad where it slides into the shims on the caliper bracket is smaller than that of the old pads. The rear retaining clip (on the caliper itself) cannot reach the rear pad, instead it presses against the outside edge of the rotor, allowing the brake pads to slide back and forth (there is no up and down play, the pads are the same height).
Where can I find a set of the correct brake pads?

43022-SR3-506 are RS/LS/GS-R rear pads
43022-SR3-030 are RS rear pads
43022-S84-A50 are ITR rear pads
All of the above are for the USIM models. For all I know, JDM models may need different parts - which you have to figure out when you get JDM parts and you need other parts to fit.
(Don't ask me why the parts catalog shows two different part numbers for the RS.)

that's odd. i've got the JDM 36mm 5-lug set up and the rear calipers are the same as USDM. i've put on USDM pads on in the rear with no issues. perhaps you did get the wrong ones? packaged wrong perhaps?
I think that I might have gotten the wrong set of pads from the dealership. Unfortunately I threw the box away for the oem rear pads I bought. I was also thinking about trying a set of 97+ prelude rear pads, since a trip to japan for brake pads is not an option lol.
If you don't still have the receipt, the dealer should, and can look it up for you.
If the part number is correct but they don't fit, take them back and explain, and have the dealer show you another set with the same part number. Compare the size of the parts.
The part number on the receipt is 43022-SR2-030
for 01 TYPE-R (hummmm)
When I get back into town I'll stop by the dealership again
