Rear Lock Stopped Working...sort of
OK, so I have a 1999 Honda Accord EX 4 dr. Something interesting has happened - my rear driver-side door's lock has stopped working. It clicks and I can see the lock moving but it is not raising the lock enough to unlock that door. It's as if something isn't engaging properly. Has anyone else experienced this? Any help is appreciated.
I wasn't able to figure out what was actually causing this to happen, but it was going on with my 97 accord Ex rear door too (right rear to be exact).
It's probably related to the door actuator.

i assume you mean you can see the lock pull rod cap at the top of the door panel moving? remove the door panel and see if it starts to work properly, it may be binding on the panel. if not, maybe on something in the door. if not, it's probably just a weak actuator. those accords have problems with the actuators, so it probably just needs replacing. if it's not completely dead, it's hard to test it conclusively.
