yea if its not gonna break the bank and you don't have a super boner for a b18c, you could probably be commited for not putting a K in.

besides the k series heads have awsome flow, not to mention all the aftermarket parts that already aout for it. dam i wish i had money like that, lol

not trying to hijack the thread but what if money was an issue?

I agree that if money isn't an issue the k20 would be awesome. But isn't there a huge difference in price when getting a k20 because of all the extra parts you have to get while the b18c is almost a drag and drop kinda thing? or am i wrong?

enlighten me!!

Im also torn between the k20 and the b18c5, the prices for the engines aren't too different but I think the labor and extra parts are...right?

What are you going to do with the car? Looking at at least 1500 dollar difference between the two, and if your going to be boosted, both motors will make about the same power, although the K will have a better tq. curve and may make a bit more peak power, but again the b-series and K-series peak numbers are pretty much the same. K-series can take more abuse with stock sleeves. As far as the aftermarkett support, both engines are VERY well accounted for, so no issues there, Id say if you got the money go for it, But if it were me, I would stick with the GSR and spend that extra money you save on more important things (tuning, etc.) In my opinion the B-series is still hands down the most cost effective bang for your buck.

^^ go with the b18c5 swap then, its cheaper and you'll make for sure 210 n/a and it'll be a fun dd, but if you want to be that unique go k swap. all depends on you

K-series swaps are becoming more and more common. You wont be the only one with one for long.
