Default My EF8's new engine

After cracking my old block I'm replacing my engine with something fresher...

Still keeping these though, no boooost!

Requisite in the engine bay shot;

Final graphs after 2k running in:

/
~209bhp / 150lb/ft - not to shy for a 1.8 - which is > 60bhp/ton improvement...mine doesn't weigh too much

Old B16 vs new...Romain says the 2.25in exhaust is restricting me at the top end.

WHP / AFR

Power

Its a b18c6, Mahle pistons, they are ~12.5:1. The cams are stock 96 or 98 spec itr cams. Jenvey 45mm bodies, I can't remember the trumpet length off the top of my head. I'm running an air box, but the open panel type. 330cc injectors. No dizzy, using a ford coil pack. Omex 600 management, no Honda stuff (when It was built years back when no one had managed to get ITBs working right with hondata enough for a daily driver etc...I understand this may have changed now).

I can't remember what exhaust manifold it is either, it's a pretty nice jdm one though. Exhaust is a 2.25 in janspeed system...I love it's quietness.

Very nice build! How do u like the omex program? What ecu are you using and how hard was the itb's to install and to
get working? Sorry for all the questions but this build is different than what i'm used to seeing. And I've been intrested in getting itb's. I bet they are a pig for Daily Driving.

OMEX 600 is awesome, really flexible. It's kinda expensive though, esp compared to an S300 / chrome / bre / etc.

Jenvey ITB's were really easy to install, but again not particularly cheap, you're paying for a good product.

Very nice! Just out of curiousity, why not use chrome or sone of the cheaper programs? Does yours offer better itb tunability?
Thank you.

Can't wait for dyno sheet cuz I'd love to see the curve this will make!

When I built it chrome didn't support ITB's properly, this was years back though, things have moved on.
