The Aprilia is close to the back of the pack in comparison to the current superbike class machines on the market. It is one of the heaviest bikes with one of the weaker engines.

Listen to latest episode of MotoGPod. They interview Mark Miller who rode the S1000RR at Isle of Man couple of weeks ago. He said that because of the old school style unconventional short travel front fork, the bike totally sucks on anything but smooth road courses and especially sucks on anything with elevation changes. He had some mad tank slappers when touching down and during front lifts on full acceleration.

I read reviews from other sources that didn't find that weakness in their testing on either the road or the track.
