Icon2 88 Prelude Clutch Problems

So my 88 prelude si is having clutch problems i believe. it really struggles to get into and out of gears, especially when its not warmed up fully. it seems like the clutch is always partly engaged. when it is the hardest to shift into and out of gears is when the pedal has ALOT of play and sometimes sticks. at times i can have the pedal pushed as far as i can push it and have it in 1st gear and the not give it any gas and the car will very slowly move forward. just the other day my car was able to drive around a parking lot in reverse without having to give it any gas and the pedal push in as far as it would go, when i stopped the car with the brakes it died. i have not checked the clutch fluid or cable yet. i've heard it could be the pressure plate, but i have no clue for sure... any input??
