ITR+Water=rob OWNED
Well interesting thing happened to me on the highway today...
doin about 10 under on i40, hit some water or something i guess (light rain all day) and ended up off road. possible airtime as well...ran into a grove of small trees and bushes, didnt hit anything major. Some awesome EMS guys stopped, pushed it out, helped out a lot. Good news: I'm fine, no body damage, I'm fine, just scared. Bad news: i think my passenger side rear has about 10 degrees of *positive* camber, looks damn like / from the back. Jacked up the car when i got home, nothing looks bent, at least compared to the other side. Guess i'm headin to the alignment shop
what should i be shopping for? LCAs, any ideas?
oh yeah, what are the best performance tires in the wet?
rob- who would have puked if he had eaten any breakfast

What tires were you on and where on 40? Some parts around my old hood are just plain treacherous, no matter what you're riding on.
just east of statesville. I was on the shitbox all seasons i've been rockin all winter, probably didnt help. interestingly enough, they kick *** in the snow
s-03s might have to be ordered

sorry to hear, good thing there was no major damage.
haha you spoke to soon B. shop just called. Looks like we're gonna have to replace a majority of the rear suspension, also possible frame damage.
For the record, words you do NOT want to hear about your own car: "It may never be the same again....."
you guys pour one of for #1035 tonight

Sorry to hear Rob, especially that last part!
Were your tires "well used"?
Sounds like you pulled a "Ross", though....
Tommy -- I'd think insurance should cover it, after all it was an "accident"!

Sorry to hear about what happened Rob
I am glad to hear that you and your cat were not hurt, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that they can fix your car as good as new

Thanks for all the thoughts guys, it means a lot.
ed- tires were close to 'well used' i'd say, but not dangerous by any means.
just picked the car up from the alignment shop, the tech guy was optimistic "you may able to get it close to how it was..."
. gonna be interesting since we wont know exactly what's bent until we tear down the rear susp, and a daily driver w/o rear suspension ceases to be a daily driver. looks like i'm rollin in the 911 for awhile since the ITR is gonna have to hang out at the shop for a while i guess
.
oh well, **** happens. Could have been a *lot* worse, guardrail to the other side, 18wheeler to the rear, etc. its just hittin me really right now though how lucky i got. perhaps some good can come of this, at the very least new tires

rob, that sucks man. this isn't what i wanna read on honda-tech when i first wake up. sorry to hear that, but hopefully you just need some new suspension components. let's just hope for the best! let's us know when you find anything out. hopefully the 4 triad CW's will not become 3.
btw man, i'm here for any moral support you might need. when your ITR get's messed up, it's pretty much the same thing as someone in your family getting hurt.

Keith's going to kill you
Glad you're okay, Maybach. Get your **** to the track soon so you can learn how to drive
As someone else said, the SP9000 is a tad pricey, but is the best wet/dry tire I've had for the street
