Default higest power n/a

What is the highest power even seen on this board comming from a n/a ITR, streettable. What were their setup

I was wondering if that setup would bring me close to 230whp?

- resleved block to 2l
- je srp 84mm 12.1 CR
-eagle rod
- ported and polished head+ intake manifold all stage 3______www.tkmotion.com
- ferrera valves with 5 degree angle
- skunk 2 stage 2 cams + valve train
- dc jdm 4-1 header
- aem cam gear
-b&m fpr with gauge
- unorthodox underdrive pulley
- hondata stage 2
- custom 2.5 inch cat back exhaust
- exedy organic clutch with comptech 6.5lbs flywheel
- rc 370cc injectors
- tuning

and what were your 1/4 miles times
thanks

Just as an example SGT got 230 out of an ITR with Spec C's, JE's, Portflow head, SMSP header/2.5" exhaust combo, ported mani, t/b, 440's and hondata. Pulled consistant 12.7's on slicks.

drop the dc header go w/ an sms and i don't think you have enough cam for 230 whp i'd go (i did on my own car) w/ a skunk stage 3...up the hondata to a stage 3 so you can get the goodies like full throttle shift and 2 step rev limited....with a good amount of tunning you should be knocking on the the 230 door.

You'll need to go more radical than I did, NA is sweet but hard to get 230 whp from, I still haven't had mine dynoed since I rebuilt the motor, I need to get my hondata stage II working also.

ok, to be honest I already have most of the part mentioned, I hope at least to get in the 220whp mark.

I still have to resleve the block, get the piston and rod
why do the je pistons 12.1 not good for that setup, I cant run higher than 12.1 CR we dont get amazing gas around here. AS for the cams, the spec c are a litle to crazy for me, that why I believe the skunk stage 2 with the 370cc injectors will do the job.

as for the port and polished head+ intake manifold, tk motion is the guy who will do it, he did some great car around here, as for the hondata I will not need the stage 3 since I dont plan on drag racing. I would prefer buy a good suspention setup and do autocross with slick and 9500k redline

what is wrong with the dc 4-1 jdm, they are ranked pretty good in the header test

That was on a nearly stock motor, which makes the results of that test absolutely useless to you.

no 13.5
12.7 and 12.5 with Cs on the old 1.8L motor.
New motor has yet to do anything productive

230whp may require a little more compression than 12:1

SgT, just out of curiousity, what do you not like about the exedy/comptech combo? or do you just mean it's not correct for his application?

thanks for all the reply, I appreciate it.

I might just keep the dc jdm for now and then switch afterwards

I have an other question, If my block get resleved or bored to 85mm, with the type r crank would this give me a 2liter engine, or id have to add a crv crank????

and yes the guy who doing the headwork here in mtl is very good, the guy has over 14 nira record, like 70% increase in power with some massive head porting on muscle car.
like I said 12.1 CR is the highest I can go or else ill have to retard timing.
as for the cams, since i did not buy them yet, I might get toda c spec with portflow titanium valve spring and reteiner and ferrera oversized valves.

will the 370cc injectors be sufficient to handle that kind of power, would it be better to get dsm 440cc injectors(they are even cheaper)

how about colling, will the stock rad be suffient, will i need to add a oil catch can etc...

Did you mean that the exedy organic is not strong enough to hold 230whp??
so far I love the clutch, its smooth and hold better than stock even its not that obvious, the pedal fell a little stronger though, but close enough to stock
thanks to jason(the cops) in florida, it was nice buying from him and easy transaction

I was at 80+ % duty cylce on my 370's on the dyno last week, so go with the 440's.
