I have a DA rear disc conversion on my EF sedan, and used civic rear toe arms.

However, my cars tires are super toe'd in because they were a little short. Every writeup I've seen says to use civic ones, but I need to really squeeze the trailing arms in to get it to bolt up, and when I went in for an alignment today the guy couldn't do it because the adjustment was at the max already.

Do I need DA toe arms? because mine are definitely too short, and my back tires look like this from the top /subframe\

my tires go from good tread to bald in 3 weeks

 

youre not supposed to use the DA toe arms but you might have bent trailing arms. or it could be that its a sedan. not really sure on that, havent heard many sedan owners run into this or speak out about it.

if using longer arms is your only choice to straighten the toe, then do it. but it shouldnt have been this way.

usually the da toe adjusters are too long...i know the gsr rear discs i have on my hatch worked fine with my ef toes. perhaps the sedan is diff. id try the da adjusters and see if that works if all else fails get the aftermarket adjusters shown above

 

If it was only on 1 side, then I'd see how an arm is bent. But it's on both sides

Those toe arms are too pricy, I have $90 right now to fix this toe problem including alignment

well I bought crx/ef civic toe arms for $10 shipped but they are too short

 

just curious, can you measure and/or take a pic of those arms that are too short.

 

Yeah I will when I get home. They have 2 holes and say "up" with an arrow. Exact same size as the ones my car came with, except 1 of mine were bent when I replaced my trailing arm bushings, so I bought a set of 2 off a crx someone's parting. but it's the exact same length as the old ones.


maybe I need to move the trailing arm bushing? it's in the same place as the old one, but the old was super torn, idk I can't think of anything else.

Anyone got a set of the DA ones? I'll buy them

 

i have the same problem on my driverside rear but mines are ef rta's...didn't have the problem before i got an alignment so im curious if mines are bent also but highly doubt it.

after the alignment my rear toe is as follows:

rear left:
-0.20

rear right:
-0.32

 

if they are I have extras for you lol

my adjustment is maxed out and they still couldn't get a reading. you can look straight down at the wheel and it's obviously slanted

 

I don't have this issue and I used my stock toe arms, however when I put my rear discs on, one side was out of alignment, but still can be adjusted. I do STILL plan on getting aftermarket toe and camber adjusters regardless though. At my ride height, I'd like to be able to adjust all of my suspension geometry.

 

I have lengthened a pair of these compensator arms by cutting and welding them.

no, just buy some adjustable toe arms online.

 

would they provide enough adjustment though? Because my stock ones are maxed out and it's not even reading on the alignment rack

I saw blox ones for $60 shipped, but what if they don't offer enough adjustment for my application?

I'll measure how long mine should be to eyeball it then compare it to the specs I guess

 

if you need more than -2* - 5* of adjustment, you have damage somewhere.

My passenger trailing arm has "prelud" written on it. Wheel bearing for a 1991 Si fit right on there though.

From hole to hole was 6.5"

I had to hammer the bushing out a little just to be able to bolt it up

 

First of all, the RTA bushing is not pressed in completely, that white line should be FLUSH with the arm inside. That in itself is causing you alignment problems.

 

I know, I had to hammer it out a bit so I could bolt up the toe arm - or else, the trailing arm is too far away to bolt it up!

Order placed for the adjustable toe arms, if they're still too short I'm out of ideas. Maybe get someone to fab up ones that work. The camber and caster were fine on the alignment sheet I think

My question is, does the EF arm come with the 2 hole or 1 hole?

Because these other places are showing it's 2 hole for DA, DC, and EG. And there's some threads saying integra ones are too SHORT, instead of too LONG.

Are EF ones longer or shorter?

If the guy sent me another set of DA arms (that are too short), then my problem is I need EF arms.
