Default Can you check a CEL without a CEL in your cluster?

Okay, as previously proven in another thread of mine, my JDM cluster does not have a CEL on it. It apparently is from some type of Japanese carbed EG and there is no CEL in the cluster. What I would like to know is this, is there any way for me to check for codes without having that light in the cluster? Is there an option in Crome anywhere to read CEL's? I have a B16A swap and I'm running pretty rich right now on a stock map...The problem just started to happen about 2 weeks ago. I'm assuming it could be a couple of things like dirty air filter, O2 sensor, etc...But I would like to be able to have some way to pull codes from my ecu without having that CEL. I thought about wiring an LED or something to the wiring that normally ran to the CEL. If you have any other ideas, please let me know.

install a bulb inline with the cel light wiring... just need a wiring diagram.

ECU supplies a ground to flash the bulb, so just get any automotive 12v buld and supply 12v to 1 side and let the ECU supply the gnd from the CEL wire coming out of the ECU.

Be careful poking around on your ecu, It doesnt take much to fry them.
