i just purchased a si tranny from engineworldusa.com and was wondering how to tell its an si, the casting numbers are pl3 9000 but that only means it has the large bearings in it correct? i saw how to identify in the faqs but since the tranny is out of the car i cant be sure its in first gear to check dif rotations

 

Stick a screwdriver in the hole on the shift rod, turn it counterclockwise and pull and you should be in first gear.
