s300 boost cut
Anyone with a s300 hit the boost cut safety control on there car. Just wondering what your experience with it was. Reason I ask is because I was running yesterday and first gear fine second fine then third went till we hit full boost at 32lbs and the motor just shut down no rpms no boost fell on its face check engine light came on I let off gas and it fired up and ran fine after that. just wondering if thats what it was or other possible things to check.
OK all I know is it sucked trying to get the first 10 run and after running a 11.0 with a 1.8 60ft it started cutting me off at top of third gear and why wouldnt every run I get cut off I do a 1.71 60ft it cut me 4 times....dammit FML
Ok I appreciate all the help where going out again on july 12th with the car. It just sucked and I'm not really a computer guy I just drive and work with my hands. but I'm gonna do some more research from the websight and try to get the anti lag launch system going to trying to get out of the hole a lot harder the b16 just torque less

one more quick question do you have to activate the data logger or does it automatically data log cause I'm wondering if maybe on there it will show why and if not how to you activate it
Funny to see this post because this happened to me the other day while I was trying to do my licensing passes. it happened in 4th gear and ruined that pass. So we figured at 42-43psi why even have a boost cut and we removed it and it was fine.
yeah it sucks! I lost the first local event i went to with my s372r cause it was hitting boost cut and couldn't figure out what was going on... lol I found out later that night! It didn't do it on the way to the track and that night the air got cool and it started hitting boost cut around 8k to 8500 rpms. I just raised the boost cut 2 psi higher and never have a problem with it.

What if you don't care how much boost you run? I would like 50lbs out of my car but it simply won't build that much boost. So why would I need or want a boost cut?
Congrats you are one out of the thousands that should have a boost cut that have an exception, great post
what you are hitting is your boost cut. it is an instant quick shutoff like you mentioned. your car/setup is really capable of mid 10s even maybe low 10s if properly dialed-in. if you are tuning your car on the dyno at 32psi then try setting your boost cut 2psi above your target dyno boost. usually you'll see a psi or 2 gain when you fully load the car on the road and especially at the track. hope this helps!
