90 accord
hi I have a lx 90 Acoord auto I recently change my regular oil to the synthetic oil and sometimes the oil light flashs i check the oil aand it full since it was recent that a change it can it be a fuse ?
My 92 Accord (same generation/F22A engine) ran just fine on synthetic oil for several years. It just used it faster than conventional. There isn't much of a need to run synthetic unless you're running an extended oil change interval or your manual requires it (and a '90 Honda doesn't require synthetic in the manual)
My guess is, it's eating oil because it has a scored cylinder wall and is burning it, or that it's leaking out somewhere (like the oil pressure sending unit) causing it to use oil and the pressure light to come on intermittantly. The oil pressure sending unit is located above the oil filter, so while you're under the car, I'd check that. My Accord also had a bent oil pan which cause it to incessantly leak oil too.
Best of luck!
