Because every motor is different, so settings for someone could harm performance for your motor and setup.

Either that or people are just lazy.

Aren't there stock maps? If so just leave it on that until you get to a dyno.

Here's a link to some reference settings. Hope this helps. He simply removed fuel, which makes sense since the cars run rich stock and increasing A/F ratio should result in a slight boost of power. Just don't go overboard, or you'll get too lean.

This is precisely why people don't like to share their settings. There is only one way to know for sure if you're lean at any particular engine speed, and that's a wideband O2 reading. My guess would be no that is not too lean, but again, go to a dyno &/or get a GOOD A/F gauge. I have a Greddy unit, $290, and it has the control module and all that stuff. I set my Vafc by it and then went to a dyno. The Greddy read precisely what the wideband dyno did, at WOT, partial throttle, even idle. I hear Lambda and Halmeter have excellent gauges as well, just don't bother with the Autometer from kmart/ebay.
