Ok im buying a 2000 s2k tomorrow but every time i go into 4th low or hi rpm it grinds. Should gm-fm sycromesh fix or i need a rebuild. what do you recommend ?

try the fluid first. that would be the cheapest solution. otherwise it will need a rebuild.

 

It will likely need rebuilt - fluid doesn't magically fix worn parts. Not sure what places do that in the NYC area. Check your phone book and start talking to the businesses to check their familiarity with that stuff.
