CAI... That should give you the edge. Stock vs stock is a close match.

it seems like you have an LS... i think you need more than just a CAI.

it would help to know what kinda car you have.. and any preexisting modifications you have on ur car..

a bone stock gsr can take out a si.. you'd just have to be a better driver..
but if you have a LS.. basic bolt ons are a definite must.

*note* b16a's have lots of top end.. dont try to take them on the freeway..

Ran my friends stock SI twice from a 10 mph roll. We were dead even through 1-2-3, but after 4th, I blew him away as if he let off the gas or something. had about 1.5 cars on him when I hit 90, thats when we let off.
I think he might beat me though if he had just intake

Are we talking about drag or circuit racing. Because w/ equal drivers an integra(LS, GSR) would own on a circuit. A few reasons being...

Drag strip, I'm not so sure--there's too many variations that could go wrong in such a short period of time. A GSR should take an SI easily. An LS would be about even w/ an SI.

lets say that both drivers are equal in skill...

ls would take the si off the line, si will pull at top end

what you need to beat the si.... NAWS y0!!! heh

on another note, my cousin has a 94 tegra RS w/ a 96 LS motor.... he has i/h/e, chipped ecu, clutch but his car is quick.... i have no idea why, but its puzzling. his ls takes si's, gsr's, and type r's... i ran him in my b18c1 civic, and i BARELY beat him, but then again, he's a good driver.

This is the outcome MOST Civic SI vs Integra LS matches will look like when they're both Stock.

LS will get a little edge on the launch and a little bit of 1st gear. Then 2nd gear will be pretty close, but the SI will pull ahead a little by the end of 2nd gear. Then 3rd gear, the Si will pull decently on the LS and will keep going.

LS with Bolt-Ons should give the Si a much better match. Now this is when the drivers are equal. As we all know, that's almost never the case in a Street Race. The better driver should edge out...

a GS-R will blow a stock civic si away.. My friend has a 2000 si with 50k miles CAI and aftermarket clutch (he barks every gear).
I have a gs-r CAI, cam gears, type r flywheel and clutch. I also have 130k miles and he was about 5 cars behind in 3rd gear.

A GS-R will not blow away an Si. tell your friend to learn how to drive that thing, I have raced so many gs-r, and for mod for mod it is a drivers race, I have won more then I have lost, an ls for get about it

When I had my GS/LS I raced my girlfriends 00 Si atleast 40 times..

Me stock, and she has CAI.

Most of the time she beat me at the end of third gear for me.. thanks to her vtec.

First and Second gear for me were too close to tell. Usually I had the win in 1st and 2nd.

LS vs SI... if the LS has a good, strong motor... Just a CAI plus another bolt on (choose one: header, cat back, pulleys) would let you take an SI till mid/high 4th if you're a good driver.

I used to beat them (stock or with crappy mods) with just an AEM CAI and 14" steelies on my 4dr LS..... But that's not exactly equal... because I do have MadD SKillZ.

I took out my friend's mildly modded Si on the freeway by about a car length by 90 or 100. We did several runs from 50 and 60 to about 90 and 100. I think it has alot to do with the gearing because with the GS-R, 100 is only the beginning of 4th gear while it's the end of 4th gear for the Si so any higher, 5th on the Si will lag compare to 4th gear on the GS-R.

O god, how did everyone on Honda-Tech miss this gem? With only an intake I ran faster then you stock.

*Edit: And trapped 89mph in my Gen2 LS.

just learn to drive, nothin to it. YEah, an intake would definatly give you an edge. Beaten a few Si's with the usual bolt ons , just gotta get the take off. ITs all in the launch.
