99 accord p1739 p0700 p1167 check engine codes help plz!!!
ok so i just went to autozone to get my check engine codes ran and i got a p1167 which is the oxygen sensor. Next i got p1739 wich is transaxle concer????? what does that mean? are the axles going out? and 3rd i got p0700 automatic transmission fault. Is my transmission going out? Car seems to run fine and shift ok. How do i go about fixing these codes? My car is a 99 accord with the ulev engine automatic. car seems to take a bit to shift into 3rd but doesnt feel like it slips. please help and give me way to fix these problems. car has 161,000 miles also thanks
DTC P0700 is generated by any detected transmission fault. So any automatic transmission problem is going to throw a P0700 and another code.
P1739:
Possible Causes
A/T 3rd pressure switch signal circuit is open
A/T 3rd pressure switch signal circuit is shorted to ground
A/T 3rd pressure switch signal circuit shorted to system power
A/T 3rd pressure switch is damaged or has failed
TCM or PCM has failed
Setting Conditions = Engine running in gear, and the PCM detected an unexpected voltage condition on the 3rd pressure switch circuit during the test.
This code sets in 1 Trip(s).
These transmissions have had a lot of mechanical problems. Honda extended the warranty on the transmission to 7 years or 100,000 miles due to problems. Refer to Honda TSB #02-062 for information.
Clear the transmission codes and see if they return. If they do then repair the O2 and work on diagnosing further the trans codes. Could be a bad TCU for the transmission.
