CRV blower motor resistor
Alright, so I figured that installing a new resistor would be a snap, but upon investigation I quickly discovered that in a CRV the resistor is inside the blower motor case. My question is do I have to remove the blower motor to access the resistor or should take the case apart. Thanks for any input
I don't see how -- i've got the same problem on a 2001 crv and it looks like the air box needs to come apart. with the resistor's top only protruding through the air box hole the rest of the restistor won't fit.
In dorking around with it earlier this evening, it appears the one needs to take the full blower assembly -- air box -- if it will separate from the adjacent cabin filter box. if it can be taken out, then I believe the air box will separate into a top and bottom half after 3 or 4 clips are removed..........any opinion, help or schematics?
Got it -- figured out that (on my unit) you pull the 3 screws from the bottom of the airbox that hold the blower motor in. The motor drops out and will allow you to remove the old resistor and install the new. Nobody mentions this in any of the blogs and it's a 15 minute job.........I guess we think too much.
