Icon2 Need A New Transmission - JDM or Rebuilt?

I have a 2002 Honda Accord EX - 3.0 L V6 VTEC Motor and I need a new transmission for it. I have been searching for both used American(rebuilt) transmissions and used JDM transmissions. My dilemna is that I have heard that it's not worth rebuilding these transmissions as they will just fail again quickly and; I have also heard that buying a JDM transmission is risky because sometimes the wiring and programming don't match the American verisions. Can anyone help? JDM or American Rebuilt? Thanks very much.

A Good rebuild shoud last you. If you abuse any transaxle it will fail sooner. Search around for a good rebuilder.
