High pitch noise coming from engine.
So when my engine is warm and only at idle it starts to make this high pitch whistling/squeaking noise. I know that it is not any of the belts or the intake. It is also not any of the vaccume hoses on the intake manifold.
Heres a video to see what it sounds like. You can hear it really well towards the end.

If anyone knows what it could be please help, it is the most annoying thing ever! And I cannot figure this out! Thanks.

Also check your alternator. If you can, start eliminating a/c, altrernator, p/s belts one by one, and see if the sound goes away. I hope this helps.
Well I don't have a/c, and I ran the engine with the alternator belt off so it's not that.
I might try disconnecting the p/s belt to see if its that.

Hmm yes, good idea!
I'll try to pinpoint the noise first, but I did listen very carefully for a while the other day and it seems to be coming from the cam pulley area or just behind. The noise is clearly not from the p/s area.
Is it possible that the timing belt is to tight or something?
Or could the pulleys be making this noise?

Honestly, it sounds like air whistling as it goes through the IACV passages. If you notice it only whines when the IACV opens up. I had a 5.0 Mustang that did that, as well as many other 5.0's. Take off your IACV and sand the sharp edges down slightly.
Yeah I did that and the sound didn't go away!
A lot of people have been telling me that it sounds like a air leak, not bad bearings. I don't know tho.

Well I'll get one it's just that I work everyday except sunday and I can only work on my car at night. Stores are pretty much closed when I'm off.
I guess i'll just wait until then.

Any more Ideas as to what this might be?
Still haven't figured it out, and don't have the time to do anything big like take my engine apart. =/
