gauge light swap
Before i move on to performance mods, i'm trying to finish up the interior of my 03 civic ex. My stereo and floor lighting are all blue, but my dash lights are all red. trivial i know, but is there a way that i can swap the lights out? i don't want to tear apart the dash and re-paint that **** as i've been told i may have to, so 'm hoping all i have to do is replace a colored filter or some led's. help? (please attach any links where i could find / buy the parts i may need...) Thanks.
All that the dash lights are made out of is a thing strip of orange. No lights or leds or anything like that. Ummm. Idk if they make replacement attachements for the dash but 1 thing I thought about is probly filling in that orange strip with a blue sharpie or something... idk. But ya I don't think they make aftermarket dash replacements.
Psst..
FAQs
I think they sell colored bulbs, but don't quote me on that. I've never looked into it.
I dunno about the cluster, though. I think your best bet is to either (I can't believe I'm about to say this) buy one of those gauge layover kits from ebay (cringe) or figure out a way to tint it?
Changing the bulb color probably won't yield the results you're looking for. You don't have to pull the dash apart, just remove the gauge cluster.
You can use these for how-to..
