ZC + 5SPD L3 Tranny How can i figure out what axles I have...
I have ready that you can use your DX/Si Hubs but I have a 91 DX and it wont fit the axles i have seem to be a bit too thick, this setup was in my old CRX before it was wrecked so i know this was on a CRX.
I need to find out what axles I have so i can get the hubs that fit them.
Please help.

To be honest I am not sure because it currently had a d15B2 + Tranny which i believe is a DX all the wiring in the car was DX thats why i find it strange that the Hubs would be different. this maybe a JDM L3 I am not sure I am hoping to find out. I did count the splines on the L3 Axles which equal 26 and the ones on the dx tranny are 27 or 28 if that helps.
Currently in the car is a d15b2 Mini Me, I am assuming the transmission is a DX tranny.
Outside I have the ZC SOHC with the L3 Tranny attached. I tried putting in the ZC axles in the current hubs and the axles seemed to big. I wonder of the dumb****s who had it before decided to put HF Hubs with a HF tranny. I am just thinking if I buy new knuckles with hubs for 91 SI they should fit (26 Spline).

why spend more money just use your tranny you have on the car. make it easier on yourself. transfer your tranny on to the zc. and just sell that unknown tranny. besides guessing on what hub to get.
sounds to me like your car is not a DX model but is actually a STD model which had the smaller hubs like the CRX HF
Yeah after doing hours of googling I have come to the same conclusion, I just got my SI hubs and arms today so i will be putting those on.
Thanks for your help.
Hope this helps someone in the future who stumbles on this same problem...

Ok I have a similar problem I bought a L3 trans and bolted it in to my 91 civic lx and my D-series axles are to small for the tranny diff holes. Anyone know what axles I can use? Keep in mind I don't have the intermediate shaft nor a place to bolt in an intermediate shaft. Please advise.
ZC tranny are also L3 5 speed, the splines in tranny are just bigger so you need absolutely the ZC midshaft but you can use 93 integra axles they will fit into the tranny and the hubs and the midshaft. I Had same problem. That could help you alot. http://www.thezcr.com/forums/attachm...5&d=1216608214
you can use your si axles in a zc transmission. i did. the hf/std are the odd ***** when it comes to front brakes/axle combos
I have a problem finding 23 spline wheel hub I have a l3 trans 5 speed and my spline count on axle wheel hub side are 23 I was wondering is I can just change out the axle and wheel hub for a bigger size ? Or leave as is and find new hubs?
is this a ZC transmission or just a regular old L3 5-speed? - if it is not a ZC, you just need axles for a 88-91 CRX HF or 88-91 Civic STD model - STD is the 4-speed model - since you have 23 spline hubs, do you already have a Civic STD or CRX HF? if so, just use your axles
if it is a ZC transmission, you need the larger spline hubs, a ZC intermediate shaft and 90-93 Integra axles
