HELP with 96 accord
first of all i would like to say thanks for anykind of help and for at least taking your time to look at this
heres the problem. the DLC(obd2 port wont link to car)
theres power but it just wont connect to the ECU.
air bag light is on and horn dont work relay just clicks.
i was looking thru some diagrams and one of the wire on the obd2 port is connect to the srs system and the horn relay located in the center of the dash is also somehow connected to the srs system.
the person i got the car from pulled the dash off before and prob did something and now the obd dont work. i need to get the car smoged and cant because of this issue. please any help would be great. also do anyone know what ecu is suppose to be on this car?(ecu code) this is an (year-95/month-11) so that mean 96 and automatic.
thanks once again for any kind of help

hello there. looking through the etm. i don't see a common ground between the two. a dead give away would be to scan the obd for the srs trouble code. but being is someone else had the dashboard out i would say a ground but as said above no common ground. and i don't see a common connector. first thing i would check without pulling the srs codes is if your cruise control works. the only thing that all of these problems share is the cable reel behind the steering wheel. ( have to remove the steering wheel) chances are whoever removed the dash also pulled the steering column, and if you turn the steering wheel to many times one way or the other without the column attached to the rack it will break the cable reel
