Slim Fans Worth it?
Well im gonna be in the market in the next month or so to buy a new Radiator. Since i have a measly 1core rad on my b18b. And i want it to be a little more cool. So im gonna get a 2 core one. Or the fatter one what ever you want to call it. So i was also looking into maybe buying a slim fan too. but im not sure if these things are even worth it. Or if they actually make the car cooler. Or if they dont crap out fast. So anyone with experiences on these items chime in to help me make a decision.
Also any pointers on where to buy some legit ones let me know. Even if its ebay. I rather buy from someone that you guys have had a good experience with. Then buying it from some random vato.

i got slim fans in both of my cars, h22 civic and turbo del sol, so far so good + using civics oem radiator, if i would keep my cars i would upgrade to thicker aluminum radiator. They cool down fast but they turn on more often sense im using civics rad
slim fans are mainly if u need the extra room with the wider radiator ...or aftermarket header/ or maybe a turbo set up i dont think they keep it any cooler than the stock ones unless of course they are bigger size fans
got a ebay special pusher/puller on my fluidyn, preparing the bay for turbo. Havnt noticed a advantage on the temp gauge but the slim fan is louder and leaves plenty of room under the hood
It all depends on the CFM the fan pushes. Don't crap out and buy a cheap fan.. I'd get something capable of 1200 cfm.. Should keep your engine nice and cool.

I'm currently running an eBay fan on my oem radiator. Made no diff. Just more bay space and like some one above said it's louder. Then again u can get a 14 inch slim fan on eBay for $24 shipped. So why not..
its hard to see the gains from the fans. you will mostly see your cooling gains from your radiator. get a koyo. you will not regret it. do it right the first time
thats pretty low and sounds a little risky.
even my mishi rad/fan combo was a lil over 200. and i only did that cuz i didn't have time to save up for a koyo and FAL fan. works all the same though for now.
only downside is wiring up the fan since it comes with dumb connectors.

Two wires to cut and solder together...no biggie. I cut the harness off the OEM fan itself, connected that to the Mishimoto fan I have now and simply clicked it in to the body harness like it was stock.
