H/U and speaker trouble(help help)
Ok im workin on my friends 97 rs teg we got 4 memphis 6 1/2's we got the two back ones installed and now the Right rear isn't workin all connections are solid and we tried another speaker and it dont work so we didn't blow it. Anything we should check?
Now the head unit is a basic pinoeer deh-3400 works good but we got the install kit from Best buy and well it dont fit to well its hard to get it in any advice?when we had it in it screwed up the ashtray and ciggerette lighter by pushing them down any and all help well be greatly greatly apreciated.

to me it sounds like you guys have some time on your hands, so here is what to do. get GOOD WIRE, i am talkin Monster Cable. i can tell you more about Monster Cable if you want. So only use the harness to give the head unit power and then you need to run new speaker wire from the back of that head unit to all 4 speakers, i'm not shure if you noticed the cheap, crappy wire that they already have in the car, but beleive me it is crap. Remember that that wire is carring a form of AC voltage. so it needs to be of high quality.
But first pull that head unit out a little and run speaker wire to it and just see if that is the problem. if it works behind the head unit then it is the wire that is already runned in the car. so other than that it should fix the problem. good luck
