Starting to work on a new to me 87 Civic. The trans has 2nd and R working, (tho R also shows up in Neutral). Other gears don't engage, but grind when car moving.
Are these symptoms of linkage problem, or could it also be internal transaxle problem?
I'm no mechanic but would like to see if there is an obvious diagnosis before I hire someone to help me out.
Am trying to decide whether to get a working used transaxle or if what I have can be fixed.
