accord front end swap?
hey guys i was wondering if anyone could help me out.... i need a new front end for my 99 accord sedan due to haters hitting my fenders, hood, trunk with a bat. does the 99 accord coupe fenders, hood, front bumper fit? any input would be greatly appreciated. THANKS..........i also got a 00 v6 accord first gear good second gear slips when giving gas and doesnt shift into third and fourth. iwas wondering if that could be the trans ecuor is the trans jus gone???????????
the front should work...but do have some differences.
the trans is prob shot. those years (98-02) had a lot of trouble. in most cases honda will take care of it...but after 11 years they may not.

For the coupe front end to work, you will need the coupe bumper cover/grill and hood. Use the Sedan fenders as the coupes do not fit right from what I remember. Please someone correct me if I'm wrong about the fenders.
As ilikehonda said, the V6 trannys for the 6th generation are very prone to failure and were given an extended warranty (though I believe it no longer truly applies). It would be in your best interest to contact Honda and see if you can get a goodwill repair. It's my understanding that each trans repair is handled on a case-to-case basis and is up to the region rep (could be a different rep, but it's something like that) whether or not you get help. Some will say absolutely not, while others may give the go-ahead. You never know until you try.
Please look through the MANY other threads about your trans failure for more detailed info. Good luck.
