Default Accident, what now?

Normally I read stickies and research. I am pretty upset since my car just got hit by someone speeding with their lights off in the pouring rain. That someone fled the scene. I am on my own and am trying to figure out what to do. If I missed a guideline on posting this type of question, my apologies. Feel free to redirect.

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

The gap between the trunk and the area around the trunk was not altered, nor was the gap around the rear bumper or rear tail lights. The exterior damage was limited to the area photographed in my opinion.

Uninsured motorist coverage should cover a "hit and run" accident. Talk with your insurance about it.

Sorry about the punk who hit you. If it were me, I would have been dumb enough to follow them long enough to get information (make, model, plate, etc...) to report the felony to the cops.

Oh yeah I definitely got the plate. The problem is that the plate was from a car last registered in 2004,

Damage isn't all too bad. Needs a new door, some work on that quarter seam, and paint.

I'm guessing a MY1995?? Might be cheaper to buy another car and put the two together, ie swap all good parts to one car. Just a thought...
