Ls rods in a d-series
I know this is done all the time was just wondering what it takes to make this work? Was lookin to build a budget n/a d-series and thought of this as a option or would you guys just go for after market rods? Thanks
here is how i did mine.
step 1: bring both ls rods and one d series rod to machine shop.
step 2: Machine shop orders bushing from Crower to bush the pin down to d series specs.
step 3: Machine shop cuts the crank end of the rod to d series specs.
I didn't care to ask about specs or share them here as most who ask how to do this can't do it them selves so specs are worthless. Just bring them to a quality machine shop and they can take care of it from there. Mine cost $140 to have done for everything.

Really? because stock ls's have made over 400 hp so where is the need in a N/A d series ever for h beams? Seriously.....
Stock LS's CAN make 400whp for a little while. At the same time there is an ENORMOUS amount of inherent risk that you won't get with the Eagle H-beams.
I would agree. If you're going through all that effort, PLUS still adding the cost of ARP bolts with those new rods, you might as well get an Eagle set and be done with it.
I know if I were a machine shop, I'd be PISSED if someone asked me to do that kind of a job. I know a few shops who wouldn't even accept the work, and tell you to go elsewhere. Isn't worth it for the effort.
