Default tps and zex question..

ive got everything hooked up except the white tps wire and the red power wire that goes to my switch..

wat wire on my tps do i run the white wire from my nmu?? also do i splice it in or cut the tps wire and use a butt connector to tie it back up??

also i was checking the voltage on the switch that comes wit the kit...when i flip it on i get 4.5v..not 12v...is this ok??

White TPS wire goes to the fat red wire in te middle of your loom that goes to the TPS if it's the same as a GSR. You "should" strip some insulator off the TPS wire and solder the white wire to it, then tape it up really good. You don't have to cut anything... and i wouldn't advise cutting anything you don't have to.

Where are you reading 4.5v from? Your red wire needs to be fitted to a 12v source that is active ONLY when the car is in the ON position. There should be an open fitting on your fuse box that has 12v output when the car is in the ON position. Be sure to use your inline fuse.

right..i plugged my switch into the 12v slot thats on my fuse panel...and if i measure voltage from the other side fo the switch when i flip it on i get 4.5v

i just wanted to see if it was getting 12v..but its only getting 4.5v

yeah, that spot on the fuse box is what i was talking about. if you measure it from the post on the fuse panel are you getting 12v? if so, measure the resistance of the switch. when the switch is ON you should read 0 ohms or VERY low ohms. When OFF you should read infinity. check your ground when you are reading that 4.5 too.... that could pose a problem. make sure its a good ground.

ok i got everything wire and vacuumed and hosed up..
now trying to program it...when i program it..

the solinoid will only click on and off once!! when i push the throttle wot it will click on..then click off when i let off the throttle...but when i go wot again it WILL NOT turn back on!! ive tried adjusting the tps and reprogramming!
and im sure the solinoid is clicking on and off..

however if i program it to about 3/4 full throttle it work fineif i dont give it wot...but if i give it wot and then back off again it wont come back on again!!

wats wrong..

hummmmm

maybe the tps wire is different on your car then on a '01 obd2 gsr. use a voltmeter to check voltage at all the wires when adjusting throttle position.

PS- I think WOT will be 5v.

ok still having problems wit it!!
i talked to the zex guy and he said try a new tps sensor..i did but it still does the same thing!!

here is my voltage readings:
wit the zex switched on: 4.62v closed throttle .58v wot
wit the zex switched off: 4.58v closed throttle .58v wot

now does this seem backwards!! i thought it was supposed to be 4.5 wot and .5v closed!! is it possible my tps has been in backwards! if you are looking into the engine bay the tps points down and to the passenger side..this right??

also if i dont have n2o in the line and give it wot several times at any quickness..the box works fine...however if i put n2o in the line and give it wot several times the solinoid only opens and closes once..same thing its been doing..

so...is the n2o messing wit my tps voltage or is my nmu screwed??
