Ball Joint/Tie Rod help
Ok just a quick question. Replacing my wheel bearings and im at the point where i can put it back together. However when i try snug the castle nuts back on, they just turn and turn and i cant tighten the nut. Any suggestions?
use a jack to jack up the lower control arm with the ball joint going through the hole of the LCA. The lower control arm hole is tapered, so the more load you put on it, the harder it is for the ball joint to spin.
Really, you should probably replace the ball joint if it is doing that. They shouldn't have a whole lot of movement.

does the whole balljoint turn or just the nut wont tighten up? id zap it with an impact real quick to get the nut tight then torque it to spec
Mine are doing the same thing, few seperate sources told me that it was time to just replace them altogether. Not too expensive through ebay. I managed to get at it with vice grips to get the nut on last time but yeah, I was told that's the first signs of them showing too much wear. Lates man!
