turbo spinning at idle but no boost at all!! im scared as h***
ok so i was kinda gunnin it and i shifted around 7k and heard a "POP" and now i have no boost but the turbo is still spinning at idle but not spooling up while accelerating. i have no boost guage btw but i'm VERY worried about this because i JUST lost my job.... please help!!
o and i wanted to add: it idles fine. like theres no missing or anything it idles just like it did before the "POP"
no leaking oil or any different sounds at all except no sound of spooling while accelerating..

You probably blew a charge pipe off. Not a big deal, just put it back on.
charge pipe? do you mean the piping that goes from the turbo through the intercooler then to the intake?
or the piping that involves the exhaust? because the exhaust piping is all either welded or bolted together
ok heres what happened. i floored it from first then shifted at 7k chirped the tires and at the same tight there was a POP and i basically lost A LOT of horsepower and the T's not spooling up under load. i mean i wasnt even shifting at 9k (as my ecu is set to redline) so i wasnt really gettin on it too bad i dunno i just dont understand. does this happen alot when you dont have a BOV?

Just check your couplers and find the one that is loose or off. As Gunmetal said, its not a big deal AT ALL. No harm done.
BTW, for all future turbo questions, I'd post in the forced induction section. This had a simple answer, but you'll get better responses given its a specific forum for forced induction applications.
ok thanks everyone. i fixed it. it was the pipe going into the intercooler. the hose clamp must have been loose. man is it HOT AS HELL OUTSIDE!!!!!

You using t-clamps or just the regular large hose ones? Is that what they are called? Supposed to hold on better, I used the hose clamps and always had to tighten them up every so often.

they are big hose clamps. i put loctite blue on the others so i dont think its going to happen again?

i accually need a camber kit front & rear. anyone know of any that are good quality (like ball joints quality, strength and lightweight) but are easy on the wallet??

-Do you have it tuned?
-What boost are you running? If you can't answer these questions, in all honesty, take it to someone who can ASAP. SERIOUSLY. You are only hurting your car if it is running untuned.
If it is tuned, that behavior is because of the tune.
its been tuned. but not for awhile. i bought from a magazine company "Speed Style & Sound". they sold the mag to a new owner and i got a steal on the car 8k cash with only 34k miles on it. and it came as-is

Skunk 2 front has always been good for me, and use the washers for the rear. a magazine sold you a project turbo car and it didnt have a BOV?
