Hey guys, i'm replacing both the intake and exhaust camshaft in my B16A2 with those from a '01 ITR. I have a question about the timing though. I did the steps that are given here

I didnt touch the tensioner at all before removing the cams. I just removed the cam holders and both cams simply slid out from the timing belt. The thing that worries me is,am i supposed to be able to just slide the cam/camgear from underneath the timing belt? Shouldn't there be a little more tension than that?My buddy that's helping me do it is a Toyota guy and he was shocked and puzzled when he read the DIY,especially that the cams can just be slid from underneath the timing belt.

Is this normal?How do i know if my tensioner is bad? Should I change my timing belt tensioner?
