i changed the driver side door on my type-s and now it wont lock or unlock. i also cant open the door from the inside, only from the outside. i also had to change the trunk hatch and now it wont open. does anyone know what the problem is? thanks

 

i've always had problems with my locks just can't seem to get the problem fixed so I feel ya anyone's help would be great

every car has its common problems that dont go away we got stuck with a door lock problem....other than that the dc5 is a solid car

 

so its a common problem? do you know how to fix it?

 

Download the rsx service manual. I was just looking at it and it has all kinds of troubleshooting for the door locks, trunk hatch lock too. Ill try to post the shots of the pages here tomorrow if you cant find it to download. I cant remember where I downloaded mine. Just do a search.

way to post something useless....there are resets you have to perform in order for it to work properly again, i don't know them by heart, i would look on clubrsx for them....

 

It's likely a jammed actuator. Take off the door panel, remove the actuator (keep plugged in) and hit lock and unlock. Watch for movement and listen for a jammed sound.

It could be a door actuator but from him taking off the door and puting it back on it doesnt sound like an actuator problem. But it still could be...

 

anyone have the steps to troubleshoot the lock actuator?
