Default Flywheel cover bolt sizes?

Anyone know the cover's bolt sizes? I've been told M12x 1.0mm but that seems like a rare bolt. Wouldn't a M12x 1.25mm be more reasonable?

erm, that depends. honestly I dunno what you're talking about.

but on my 94 del slo vtec b16a3, the flywheel cover bolt sizes (i assume you're talking about the little metal cover on the bottom of the transmission that covers the flywheel...) is held on by several 10mm and several 12mm bolts.

as for the shank if the bolt, i gotta gtfo because i have no idea.

in my experiences, hondas don't use rare bolts. there are millions of hondas around.

Yeah, I'm talking about that cover. The yard I bought it off of said an M6x1.0mm with a 10 mm head while I heard M12x1.0mm (which sounds ridiculous) from someone else. The dude at Autozone said the M6's are much more reasonable.

how about you spend 40 cents and buy two bolts, then see which one it is and settle it for us all?

i have my flywheel cover bolts sitting next to my torn apart motor, but i'm not home.

Regular 10mm bolts found throughout the engine bay/car. About 3/4" long.

If you don't have a ton of extras somewhere, you're not a true Honda guy

As far as length goes, just use ones that aren't too long. It's just a freakin' sheet metal cover.

Cool, I have the M6x1.0's! But I tried them and I think they're far too short. And yes, it may only be a piece of metal but I'm only one large kick back into my flywheel from F - ing something up, you know?. Also, I think it could probably dampen the sound my downshift makes. Probably not much, but anything is worth a try, the plate was 5 bucks.
