What's up detail experts. I will be getting a new interior and it will be a very light beige color. I'm looking for advice on something that will protect and repell stains on the leather. Any suggestions? Also any tips for cleaning if/when it gets dirty? I was looking into scotchgard but they don't make "leather" protectant for automotive use. I heard great things about Lane's leather protectant but wanted to get other feedback. Appreciate your feedback.

No one? I looked at the Meguiers leather conditioner yesterday and it seemed pretty good for cleaning. I need something that'll put a barrier over it though.
The major difference between leather and cloth interiors is that leather doesn't really stain like cloth does. The stains in cloth are actually IN the fabric as opposed to leather stains which are technically on top of the leather.
To answer your question:
I am not the biggest fan of Meguiars leather cleaner/protectant the lingering odor that the product leaves behind is kind of overpowering and smells very "chemically". I much prefer Mother's leather protectant or Zymol. Both of them leave a nice healthy finish on the leather itself and don't reek. If you want a really pleasant smell I would recommend looking into the Poorboys Leather product as well.
There's no real way to put a "barrier" on the leather like scotchguard for cloth, if you maintain the healthiness of the leather any stain should wipe off with just a plain damp rag or if deeper cleaning is necessary a mixture of 10/1 water mixed with woolite.
Hope that helps

If you want the best cleaner and conditioner go for Leatherique. its a bit pricey, but it is the best in the world and will make your leather stay new for pretty much forever. as long as you get it done 1-2 times a year.
here is a link to a review and write up of it.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I ordered some stuff through the parts department at my job. It's a Mercedes store so hopefully it's good.
