Icon2 Quick front brake swap question, 92 Civic Si

I was going to upgrade to Integra front brakes here soon, my question is what do I need aside from the calipers/knuckles... I found a set locally, but I just want to be sure I get everything I need to complete the swap. (I already have rotors and pads) Thanks!

should be direct bolt up, if you have the rotors that fit the teg spindles then u should be good to go

You'll also want a '94 - '97 Integra RS non ABS MC + Brack booster and 4040 proportioning valve from the same vehicle. Alternatively you can use a prop valve from a '90 - '93 Integra, but you will need to swap the bracket for the original civic version. You can also use a '90 - '91 Civic EX sedan MC and reuse your original brake booster.

Thanks 94 Eg, question I have done this upgrade in the past on another civic, and I didn't add the brake booster or 4040prop valve and it worked amazingly. What would the added benefit be if I added those parts at the time I do the swap? Thanks

Oh also does it matter what year Acura Integra I get the knuckles and calipers from? Thanks

94-01 will work perfectly, except type r, it will work but its 5 lug lol
Get with or with abs, depending on your application.
It does make a difference, we havent yet put in my friends 40/40 on his 97 ex, and the car doesnt stop nearly as good as our other freinds car with it, both have same breaks, literaly down to the pads.

I believe 92 si's already have a 40/40 prop valve due to the fact they have rear disc from the factory, correct me if i'm wrong here. Thanks!

I've never tried doing a swap without them to compare, but I suspect you'll have a firmer pedal using the larger MC. As far as the prop valve rear brakes may lock up before the fronts

'92 - '93 Si's use a 3040 prop valve due to their using small CX style front brakes.

^Thanks again, I guess I will have to get my hands on a 40/40 prop valve.
