i just swapped my STD computer for the SI computer and the gears went to hell.. and the rev limiters were activated way before they r supposed to.. i still have the dual point fuel injection , do i have to change that to all fuel injection to get the benifit of the SI computer? is there anything else i need to do?

Have you actually swapped the multi point injection stuff in yet? It seems from what I'm reading that you put the ecu in the standard with the dual point injection. If so thats why it wont run correctly. You need to swap the mani,tb,feul system , dist. and ecu.
to me if im reading it wrong but thats what it sounds like to me.

I'm suprised you're not throwing any check engine codes.
Everything they said above, plus...
do you have an automatic transmission? Is the Si ECU you have from a car that had an automatic? It will need to be.
It stops reving at about 3500 rpm right? the Si computer needs input from a sensor that's in the distributor, and the dx dizzy doesn't have it.
What it boils down to is you either need to do the entire MPFI swap, or put your STD ECU back in. To be honest, I can't think of any benefit of swapping the ECU even if it did work. The benefits of the swap come from the larger throtle body and better fuel delivery of the intake manifold, The ECU and distributor are just swapped to make that manifold work with your car
