Nissan Spec V vs Civic I/E/H vs RSX S
I know those guys.
The chase car is a 2k2 Nissan Maxima with an Intake. The Civic EX has a 55 shot dry of Zex. The Spec V is stock, I haven't met the guy with the RSX. I raced the white Spec V from the video the other night. They are very fast off the line. Plus that guy is a really good driver. The trick to beating them is trying to pass them on the high end, where they have no *****. The get 2.2 60' times at the track, which is nothing to sneer at for a stock car. My street racing skillz are somewhat lacking, so I could never make up the deficit from his better launch, and he would end up ahead.
The only time I was staying dead even/pulling a bit (hard to tell which) on the Spec V when I was racing him was from a 40 mph punch ... I was in second gear hovering at about 4000 rpms.
The Civic is having tranny problems (on third one) and is experiencing blow by from the Zex from what I hear. When it was running tip top it was beating the Spec V by two car lengths.

Yeah that car (Maxima) is fast. It is a 6 speed. If it had been racing it would have smoked all three of them.

Theres some discussion on clubrsx as to wether the RSX was a base or type-s and the exhaust in the photo looks more like a BASE model. Just hear say, but the spec v owners are on there at full force promoting their lovely 4-door as the TORQUE monster it is.
thats a good race..the Rsx got at least one decent launch...but the torque of the spev v just pulls it off the line .....the Si never had a chance ....at least he didnt spray ....good job on the nissan ....i'm impressed
BTW your a winner
3 slow cars. Maybe 3 special olympic runners would have been a better race

Other guy:
That is an RSX Type S, so don't start that base model crap.
The Spec V runs comparable times to the Type S in 1/4 mile, but its traps speeds are lower. If that HAD have been a Base it would have got broken off.

thats me in the SpecV. Sorry I havnt posted on here in forever, but its funny how everyones spreading that vid to all the forums.
Anyway thats a civic EX, not an Si, and its spraying a zex 55 shot.. his 1/8th mile times at the track are around 10 flat.. I go with him to the track all the time.
The RSX Type S had an injen warm air intake.
My SpecV is stock.
I'm trying to setup a rematch with some more of the RSX-S ppl from clubrsx b/c of all the doubters.. im not saying i should beat an rsx-s in all cases, but i know it will be a close race even if he gets a perfect run.
The camera car is my brothers 2k2 maxima se 6spd with a car full of people and he wasnt even giving it 100% lol.. that car is alot of fun 2 drive.
anyways thought I would chime in and clear a few things up. Also wanted to say i ran a few 15.3s in the SpecV at the track.. it was close to 90 degrees outside when i ran. Hoping to knock a tenth or 2 off that time once the temps start dropping.. ugh tx
