SV650S, thoughts and impressions?
I am definatly going to get a bike real soon, as soon as I sell my LS, going military, anyways, I was eyeing the SV real close, but before I buy I wanted to hear what you guys think? Oh yeah, this will be my first bike, never rode before. Also, I am looking at it as a daily driver, tell me what you think. Thanks.
The SV is an awesome choice for any experience rider. Nicely priced at $6200, comes in blue and silver. My friend has an 02 silver one, and he loves it. I am also considering one as my 1st bike, but we will see. 645cc, v-twin engine.

great first bike, enough power to have tons of fun, and great handling. Suspension is on the soft side , but being a new rider you probbly won't care or notice.

The only cons to the SV that I'm aware of are the somewhat mushy front forks and rear shock. Very easily fixed with aftermarket components, from a number of sources. It's not something you'll notice if you're a new rider, but as your skill level increases, you'll want better suspension.
Aside from that, they're killer little bikes.

I've got an '02 silver SVS which I LOVE! I've put a bunch of trick bits on it, too, like Metisse rearsets, a belly pan, Yoshimura RS-3 Carbon Fiber full race system, Galfer stainless-steel brake lines, Zero Gravity double bubble windscreen and more (undertray, clear tail lens, clear LED brake lamps +).
Wicked fun bike! Unfortunately, the recent lack of a job has forced me to need to sell it.
Anybody interested?

Great litle bike - They have charcater, decent mid range, are realatively light, and good value.
In NZ they have based a race programme arround them - sort of rent a racer.
