1994 Accord Engine Surge..
When the car is first started the engine is doing some weird surge thing then about 1-2 minutes later it just slowly dies down and smooths out. (this is at idle btw, car only has headers). Anybody know what this could mean?
rev the engine and if the RPM's "bounce" you have a leak either in the vacuum system or in the exhaust (new headers?)
this is covered in the Haynes manual, helped me diagnose my idle surge and its all but fixed.

Take a look at the fast idle thermal valve (FITV) and intake air control valve (IACV) cleaning thread in the FAQs. Surging idle in a Honda is a very common problem. It can be a vacuum leak, low coolant level (air bubble in cooling system) dirty IACV or improperly adjusted FITV.
