Word around town is that you cant use tapered lug nuts or any other lug nuts besides "ball seat" lugs on stock wheels..

what am i to do? I want em to be light, and i dont wanna spend a fortune..

Buy a set of these and you can run aftermarket lug nuts on OEM wheels.

 

I'm sorry, if sounds stupid, but may I run my HX rims with the stock Civic lug nuts?

I have also aftermarket lug nuts from my TR Motorsports wheels.

 

I was running some acorn lugnuts when I had si's and didn't have any problems and I change tires on quite a few hondas/acuras that don't use factory lugnuts and they don't have any problems. I'm not saying don't do what they recommend but I'm just saying from my experience you have nothing to worry about

I have the HX wheels and yes you need to run a ball style lug nut. I had a set of tuner style lug nuts machined to work with stock Honda wheels.

 

What's the easiest and cheaper way to get lug nut locks for HX rims?

Also what's the best way to protect the center hub caps from stealing?
