Default problem >< tranny or belt

so i finally got the stupid straightpipe exhaust taken off. and now i can actually hear my engine. (the engine is a b18b1)
when im driving / shifting the whole car Grinds. feels like tranny. sounds like a mix between a belt and tranny grinding.
could any of these cause this ?
the ecu is from a 92 civic automatic. i need to change this soon, could this cause it ?
tranny fluid ? if so how do i check/fill it. couldn't find a dipstick.

any other ideas ?

Default Re: problem >< tranny or belt

today it got worse. on hills i can smell the clutch, tranny fluid then ? also both of my fluid holders both say brakes on top, im assuming the smaller of the two is the clutch fluid and has the wrong top on it. but its a little lower than it should be.
need some ideas asap.
tommorow i got the whole day to work on it. ima do a fluid change on the tranny for sure. anything else i need to do ?
btw i checked the ecu by swapping my friends p75 into it and still has the same sound
