Default B-series / D-series manifolds

I know that retailers of stainless tubular exhaust headers sell D-series VTEC and B-series DOHC VTEC headers under different listings, but to my mind they all look the same.
Can you fit D-series onto a B-series motor and vice-versa ?
If they are different, does anyone know what the differences are please ?

they are different

since b series is DOHC the motor is bigger so at the bottem part of header has to be longer then the d series so it lines up with the ur cat/piping correctly

i have never tried putting d series headers on a b series so i cant say i know by experience so i may be wrong but i highly doubt it

You're correct that they are different but your explanation is flawed. It doesn't matter that the one engine is DOHC and one is SOHC, what matters is that the flange to the head is different which makes it impossible to interchange a D series header with a B series header. I could go further in explaning a few more differences but all anyone needs to know is that you CAN'T use a B series header on a D series engine and vice versa.
