Default B18C1 swap in eg6

can any one help im confused on swaping a gsr in my eg, i have an ls that i just pulled out but the thing im confuse on is the heater core hoses? there should be two out the firewall but on my gsr motor swap the hose connect to each other through a oem looking pipe like hose??? should i split it and connect them to the firewall?

im trying upload some image but its a no go u got email bro i can email it to you through my phone i just took some pics so its kinda dark...but its the pics of the hose from the head that goes to the firewall climate control switch housing? is that even called a heater core? sorry kinda new to this bro
