IL - 2000 Honda S2000 Black/Black, 100k Miles -$10,700
Up for sale is a 2000 Honda S2000 that I picked up in April of this year. I purchased it with the intent of converting it to a track/road race car, but in the last two months I've decided against it as I have other financial priorities that need to be taken care of. It has a little over 100k miles, couple scratches/dents on the body, 2 small tears in the corners of the top, and no radio (I can install one for you if you'd like.) It also has an aftermarket exhaust, but I'm not sure which one or what kind. The only real issue it currently has is a ticking/tapping noise coming from the rear side of the valvetrain - video link below, along with a help thread created here on H-T. Other than that, the motor, transmission, drivetrain, and all other mechanicals are perfectly healthy. It has brand new wheels/tires.
Please no lowball offers. I have the title in hand (paid for the car in cash), and will accept cash/money order/cashiers checks only (no personal checks, sorry.)
I'm located in Mundelein, IL, which is about 40 miles north of downtown Chicago. Feel free to send requests for additional pics/info.

I third the going trend. There was a mint blue S2K at the Honda dealership down the road from me some months back and they wanted $12,000 for it... before negotiations... so, about $10,500 after.
There is a black 2001 one in Chicago for $9,500 with all service records and new seats.
There's an orange one on sale for $11,900 in Chicago.
Overall, I found 56 of them below $12,000
Another thing to consider is when you see them for like $14,000, they were garage kept summer toys with 30-40k on them.
I don't mean to be an *******, but no one with a bit of sense would spend more than $8,000 for a car like this with a buttload of miles and runs like ****.

I was searching nationwide. It costs like $400-$500 to ship a car. Someone with enough money for a $10,000+ summer toy doesn't care about S+H costs. They also don't want a fixer-upper.
Hey, you can fight it all you want, but all of us are just trying to give you some advice. If you want this car to sell lower the price. Hell, I want to see you recoup your money, but that probably isn't going to happen like this.
You don't have to take our advice. It's your car, do what you want. However, if you don't open your mind to other people, it will *remain* your car.
