Default new crx build

ok, so one of my friend's dad has had a '91 crx si in his garge for a few years now and i've had my eye on it. i asked him to price it to me last week and he's giving me a CRAZY deal.
$250 for the car. the body is straight. and the interior still looks brand new. only thing is... i'm not getting the motor with it. which is fine because i planned on swapping it anyways.
i'm on a pretty tight budget because i'm paying for my own tuition at ua, but i was gonna get everyone's opinion on what kinda beast to put in this bad boy.
a k would be nice but like i said. budget. my thoughts were lingering toward something b because i have an em1 with a b16 and thats plenty for me. i'll post pics of the car as soon as i can but until then i'd just like some opinions

it has the a6 in it now but im letting the prev owners keep the motor. they originally priced it to me for 500$ with the motor. the motor has a weee knock was its only issue. also the back brakes are locked up on it. but thats an easy fix. this sucker already has 4 wheel disk brakes on it. ive noticed alot of the rex enthusiasts believe in keeping a d in the car which would be cheap yea. but this car isnt gonna be my daily driver so my choices are pretty much limitless. so you guys wouldnt go b in it? what ab a boosted d?

would this work with a b20 bottom? or would that be too tight of a fit in the rex? ive heard that the walls in the b20 are a bit thin so not real good for a turbo build... so just stick w b18 im guessing?

B18a1, I'm running one in my 91 Si hatch, love it, easy to maintain, upgrade, and have fun with in general! And best of all for you, very inexpensive!

IF you want to do a b20 i would do a b20z bottom end they are a bit stronger but still no good for boost. i would do b18 or ls v turbo
