Default ex and si owners without power steering chime in.

I have a 93 si and it seems without power steering even while moving a good speed down the road that its like its hard to turn the wheel even to switch lanes, ive had the car aligned but it seems as if a power steering rack with it removed does not turn as good as a non power steering rack. I thought both would be the same feeling with out the power steering but like i said even the power steering equiped si rack without power steering doesnt seem to turn as effortlessly as the cx,and dx models without it from the factory. Is theyre a difference?
Just dont like how my steering feels even with a good alignment

By the way im refering to a moving vehicle, i know they are all hard to turn without power steering from a stand still, but this refers to driving down the road while changing lanes and taking turns. Doesn't seem as effortless as my cx hatch that never had power steering

I have stock 94 si that I swapped GSR engine and a CX manual steering rack into. I noticed its bit harder to turn wheels at a dead stop. All suspension is stock, and steering wheels outer rubber has started to come loose. Over speeds of 30mph everything is fine but turning at slow speeds does require more effort. like front end is heavy? I retained A/c but removed all components from the P/S. No ABS either.

I did have a 95 CX with an LS swap in the past, that sat on race springs and it seems significantly easier to steer, not sure if it was b/c of the overall less weight? 300-400 LB difference? not really sure just what I have noticed.

it shouldnt be that difficult to switch lanes while driving. as stated above only when driving slow like in a parking lot it requires alil more effort. its not going to react as fast as it would with power steering would. so yes its gonna be alil harder but maybe you should hit the gym somemore its not that hard driving with no PS

A power steering rack will have a lower lock to lock ratio than a manual rack because the power rack was designed to have fluid and a pump assisting it. Example: a power rack may only take 3 turns to go lock to lock where as the manual will take 5 turns.

Haha funny comment. Its not hard to turn its kinda like the wheel resists turning even from a roll
