Ok so I have a 2001 type r. My parking lights along with my running lights will not turn on from inside the car on steering column. But I think the wiring may still be good because they will blink when I turn the turn signal. I checked a couple fuses and they didn't seem to be blown.

I could really use some help.

Break out a multimeter and start testing, check voltage at the plug. If it's there, it's the bulb (one of them is a two filament bulb, so the low side could be dead, it would blink fast then), if there's not voltage with the switch on, you'll need to start working your way through the system.

 

I encountered this same problem last year. It ended up being a blown fuse, even though the fuse didn't appear to be blown. GL.

 

Just to be sure, you can test that with the multimeter too. I never even visually inspect them, just go straight to the DMM. I've had fuses like that also, break was right on the ridge in the plastic so visually very difficult to see.
